I’m an average angler with average gear, chasing the not so average fish. Carp fishing has been a passion of mine for the last 12 years. The feeling of achievement when you have a fish on the line is what drives me. Failing and returning for success keeps me totally committed to the sport. It’s safe to say-I’m addicted to outwitting carp.
Rule number one for me with this sport is enjoying it, having fun and taking in the outdoors, for it’s truly a gift from God.
The only thing I could mention that I don’t like about the sport is the fact that other people don’t find the sport eventful or satisfying. I mean the feeling of head shakes and big carp taking line, that has to get you excited….
Being a part of the Essential Angling family has changed my fishing for the better, not only product wise but meeting new people and learning from one another has been part of the journey.
I live for their Lunker liquids. Corn oil,Tigernut Extract and Hemp oil being my absolute favorite! I do appreciate their peanut flour for my personal touch when preparing my particle mix.
These products have helped me achieve great success. Currently my PB for Common Carp is 14.34kg and my Mirror Carp is at 16.47kg. My go to venue, not only for the fish, but truly the best sunsets has to be Kwaggashoek Dam.
